Will Schragis joined BCS in May 2016 as National Sales Director and has been operating as Chief Sales and Chief Product Innovation Officer since December 2020. He directly leads the Senior Brand Development Managers and Director of Sales and partners with Joe, Tripp, and Nic on new whiskey development, blending , and launching new products. Will is an expert in the market and brand, is trusted across the country by industry experts, and is involved or partners closely with every function of BCS.
Will is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Culinary Institute of America and started his career as a bartender and intern distiller at Kings County Distillery in Brooklyn, New York. After working in Napa Valley and New York in a few restaurants and wine shops, he moved to Zachys Retail and Auction, one of the world’s leading fine wine and spirits retailers, where he managed sales and purchasing for the spirits department. He met Joe Beatrice at Zachys in New York when they became one of the very first retailers to carry Barrell Bourbon Batch 001. Will then worked for Spiribam (then called House of Agricole) managing brand development and growth of their flagship super-premium rum brands in Texas and the East Coast. Will is also a guest lecturer for the Culinary Institute of America.
